四月点滴 April 2026
万物复苏,春暖花开
A trip across the pond to NYC for Easter long weekend. I returned home with a nasty nasty cold. Landed home to a care package from M with daffodils from her garden and my favourite headcheese and white asparagus from Brussels

But True Spring is here! I’m not sure there is any city more beautiful than London in full bloom.

The floofs are very much enjoying all the afternoon sun we’re getting

Making sure the hand that feeds them doesn’t drown before dinner is served.

Caught the Turner vs Constable exhibit at Tate Britain on its last day (last hour of the last day, in fact)

Really enjoyed the Schiaparelli exhibit at the V&A. Sculptural, but cheeky and whimsical, without losing femininity and elegance.

I audibly gasped when I turned the corner and saw this
I can’t say I am a fan of Russian literature or music. Actually, maybe I just don’t like Shostakovich…I like Tchaikovsky just fine
An afternoon of Catan-ing with this cutie (well, his parents, more accurately)

Some notable nibbles. Hunanese stir fries at Dong Yuan. These perfect meaty langoustines at Prince Arthur (the only thing I’d go back for). It’s also Indian mango season! Got a dozen kesars and a dozen alphonso. Dreamy.

Didn’t cook much this month, but did finally try this tofummus as noodle dressing recipe

Also finally used my new tortilla press to make blue corn tortillas! Delicious for mushroom and prawn tacos

Some fashion moments. Getting my nails done is definitely a new habit I picked up in London, but I mean look at them witchy cateyes. This beautiful transparent trash bag (aka the Temple Cape from Rick Owens SS26). So glad we have warmer weather and I can switch to all my summer blacks.
